Mac OS-X Curriculum

The Mac Phenomenon

Apple has inspired an unprecedented level of brand loyalty amongst Mac users with its stylish computers and, many would claim, the world's most intuitive graphical user interface. With the release of Mac OS-X, Apple has emerged from a somewhat turbulent history of trying to develop a successor to the earlier non-multitasking versions of Mac OS. The Mac remains the machine of choice for many graphics designers and media developers.

Apple's success at melding the friendly Mac user interface with the underlying micro-kernel based UNIX operating system has created an operating system with immense potential. It present new opportunities for software developers as well as new challenges for system administrators.

FTT's Mac OS-X Curriculum

Our OS-X curriculum ranges from end-user courses such as course 700 to courses which will teach you to use the power of the underlying UNIX command prompt (710, 714). For something more Mac-specific, courses 720 and 722 cover the development of graphical applications using the native Mac APIs.
